Mondo TV has signed two new broadcast agreements for the popular animated show Sissi the Young Empress, aimed at kids between the ages of 4 and 8.

Club Illico owner Videotron licensed the French-language SVOD rights to the first installment of the series for two years. Mondo also inked a three-country deal with Nickelodeon that sees a German-language version of the freshman season airing in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for five years.

Matteo Corradi, the CEO of Mondo TV, commented: “More and more channels are discovering the enormous appeal of Sissi the Young Empress and adding their names to the many broadcasters that have made it such a hit. Its combination of storytelling, romance, magic and humor with a cast of very engaging characters has made it a favorite with many young audiences, and we are delighted to welcome Nickeodeon viewers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Club Illico viewers in Canada to Sissi’s fast-growing fanbase.”
