Zone Reality Takes Open Door Feature

TORONTO/LONDON, July 24:
Zonemedia’s Zone Reality channel has picked up the rights to the feature
documentary Cracked Not Broken
from Canadian producer/distributor Open Door.

Set to air on Zone Reality in the U.K. today, the film from Paul Perrier and producer Tom Powers
is a co-production of Open Door and
blatantexposure.film. Its subject is Lisa, who grew up in an
upper-middle class family, attended the right schools and hung out with the
right friends, yet somehow ended up becoming an estranged mother of one who
prostitutes herself to support her crack habit.

“Lisa’s story vividly demonstrates that despite a privileged
background, we are still vulnerable to addicting drugs,” said Tom Powers, the
producer of Cracked Not Broken. “This
film is not about preaching about the evils of drugs, it is about opening a
dialogue and educating those that feel invincible and those that prefer to turn
a blind eye.”

Steve Cole, the SVP of channels at Zonemedia, added, “Zone
Reality’s U.K. audience will be impressed by the honesty and power of this
moving, shocking documentary.”
