Zodiak Rights Inks Mr. Bean Licensing Deal in U.K.

LONDON: Half Moon Bay has secured the licensing rights to produce a range of Mr. Bean products, following a deal with Zodiak Rights.

Mr. Bean the animated TV series ranked number one in quarter two of 2011 and has been viewed by 6 million people since its 2010 launch, reports Cartoon Network’s U.K. Boomerang channel. The live-action series is broadcast in more than 50 territories, while the animated series is broadcast in more than 30.

Mr. Bean currently holds the position of number one public figure on Facebook with more than 15 million fans.

Jane Kennedy, the senior U.K. licensing manager at Zodiak Rights, noted, “The Mr. Bean brand continues to perform well in all media and we are delighted to add Half Moon Bay to our range of Mr. Bean licensees with new bespoke products.”

Tiger Aspect made Zodiak Rights the U.K. licensing agent for Mr. Bean in 2009.
