Zodiak Launching New Nonscripted Formats

LONDON: Among the highlights on Zodiak Entertainment’s slate for MIPTV is the prime-time family talent show Parenti Talenti.

The show features two families battling it out over one hour in a variety of challenges designed to showcase their talents. The entertainers will perform duets, re-enactments of famous musical performances, dance routines and solos, with the most talented family winning a life-changing prize. From Zodiak’s creative outfit The Distillery, The Question is a 30-minute game show that requires an expertise in general knowledge.

The factual-entertainment format Save My Holiday from Palm Plus Productions has been a ratings success on SBS6 in the Netherlands, and season two is set to air in Holland starting in June. The consumer reality show travels to top resorts to seek out vacations on the verge of disaster, with an expert of hygiene looking out for health hazards and sub-standard sanitation.

The anti-dating show French Kiss is also a highlight in Zodiak’s format roster. The show features five hot young men travel to Miami Beach with the challenge of kissing as many girls as they can. The twist is that they have no money and no accommodations, so in order to survive they must persuade perfect strangers to join them in a kiss. The new entertainment format Celebrity Dodgeball makes its debut at MIPTV as well. The show features eight teams of players and four teams of celebrities competing for on the dodgeball court.

Rounding out the slate, Legal Roadshow offers a simple way of settling disputes. The traveling courtroom hits the road to let locals come in and air their grievances. Produced by Palm Plus, the series will premiere shortly on NCRV in the Netherlands.
