Zodiak Acquires Dutch Production Firm

HILVERSUM, September 30:
Zodiak Television is expanding its presence in the Netherlands, where it
already owns Kanakna, taking full control of Palm Plus Productions.

Palm Plus and Kanakna
Holland will be merged into a new company, but each will retain their existing
brands. Palm Plus’s output includes documentaries, drama, factual reality and
game shows. Its content includes the Dutch adaptation of My Restaurant Rules (RTL4), Road Hogs (SBS6) and Save My Holiday (SBS6). Kanakna Holland specializes in the
production of reality programming, documentaries and original formats. Its
current productions include So You Think You Can Dance (RTL5), Peking Express (Net5) and Van Dis in Afrika (VPRO).

Patrick Svensk, the CEO and president of Zodiak Television, said: “Palm Plus
Productions is a renowned production company both in the Dutch market and on
the international stage. It is an ideal partner as we continue to strengthen
Zodiak’s position in the region and both brands operating under one umbrella
will provide a joined-up approach that will meet the needs of the international
market place even further.”
