ZDF Enterprises Sells Kids’ Fare to ABC Australia

MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises has licensed four kids’ shows, including Fun with Claude and Igam Ogam, to Australian broadcaster ABC.

The deal, brings Fun with Claude, Shaolin Wuzang and Igam Ogam to ABC1, while ABC2 will air Laura’s Star. ABC also opted for multiplatform elements for Igam Ogam and Fun with Claude, with consumer sites that will be tailored to local audiences. Fun with Claude is based on the books by award-winning illustrator David Wojtowycz.  Shaolin Wuzang, coproduced by Les Cartooneurs Associés , France 3, ZDF and ZDF Enterprises, tells the story of three teenagers who are the reincarnations of Shaolin monks. Igam Ogam is a stop-frame comedy produced by Calon TV for Five, S4C and ZDF Enterprises. And Laura’s Star is based on a series of books that have been translated into 25 languages and sold to 30 countries. 

Fred Burcksen, the VP of sales, merchandising and co-productions at ZDF Enterprises, said: "The signature of this agreement takes the productive partnership between ABC TV and ZDF Enterprises to the next level. While our first coproduction of the teen drama Dance Academy with ABC TV, ZDF and ZDF Enterprises is currently being shot in Australia, we are pleased to now also collaborate in the field of program acquisitions."
