YouTube Outranks All Video-Sharing Rivals

SAN FRANCISCO, June 28: As MySpaceTV went live today, a
survey from Hitwise revealed that YouTube’s market share is 50 percent greater
than 64 other video-sharing sites combined.

According to a Reuters article citing the Hitwise data, YouTube's
share of the online video space in the U.S. was 60.2 percent as of last month,
followed by MySpace with 16.08 percent, Google Video with 7.81 percent, Yahoo!
with 2.77 percent and MSN with 2.08 percent. AOL had just a 0.94 percent share,
and Veoh’s was 0.86 percent.

MySpace is aiming to grow its share with the launch today of
MySpaceTV.com, featuring professionally produced fare as well as user-generated
content. Clips are grouped by category, such as comedy, entertainment and “weird
