YouTube Offers Full-Length Movie Rentals in the U.K.

LONDON: YouTube has launched its movie-rental service in the U.K., offering films from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Warner Bros., Universal, Lionsgate and more.

New releases are available for £3.49 and older titles for between £2.49 and £3.49. Viewers will be given a 30-day window to watch their film on YouTube, and 48 hours after they have started viewing it. More than 1,000 features, including The Dark Knight, Reservoir Dogs and Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life are now available.

This marks the third market where the website has launched its movie-rental business, following the U.S. and Canada.
