Yellow Film Studios Merges with REinvent

Nordic production heavyweight Yellow Film Studios is merging with Danish sales and financing studio REinvent to form Reinvent Yellow.

The new production, sales and financing hub will house Yellow’s Yellow Film & TV Finland, 255 Pix and Newgrange Pictures divisions, plus REinvent’s distribution and funding capabilities, which will be used for the company’s own productions and third-party titles.

Reinvent Yellow will feature a heavy focus on English-language content and international collaborations and is investing in new technology across sales and production. The principal owner of Reinvent Yellow is Heikki Herlin. “At its core is a promise to keep reinventing itself,” Herlin said, “something essential in today’s fast-changing digital era.”

“This merger is about futureproofing,” said CEO Olli Haikka. “By uniting creative development, technology, and innovative financing under one roof, we’re creating a smarter, faster and more scalable entertainment business built for a changing global market.”

“We’re creating a space where the best talent will want to work,” added Rikke Ennis, deputy CEO. “We champion stories that matter and can find an international market for them. “With strong capitalization, we’re ready to meet the competition, while remaining open-minded in making deals and collaborations.”

Reinvent Yellow’s chairman, Peter Barkman, added: “Together we form a new kind of team with deep market insight and investment muscle. Add to it our state-of-the-art digitalization and AI entity 255 Pix and we have a truly unique skill set for international scaling and content creation.”

Ennis leads sales, acquisitions and distribution operations, while Haikka will lead growth, new business, development and production, supported by Laura Teirikko as COO. Helene Aurø will be the chief sales officer, Jorma Reinilä the CFO and Frederik Nelsson the chief revenue officer.
