Worldwide Biggies, Spike TV Extend Deal for Video Game Awards

NEW YORK, November 30:
Albie Hecht’s digital entertainment studio Worldwide Biggies has inked a
two-year extension agreement with Spike TV to executive produce its annual Video
Game Awards
.

The fifth annual broadcast
of the awards, taped from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, will
premiere Sunday, December 9, at 9 p.m. Created by Albie Hecht in 2002 while
serving as president at Spike TV, the Video Game Awards honors creators and designers in the gaming
industry. This year’s award show will introduce multi-platform opportunities,
with special categories exclusive to mobile voting.

“Worldwide Biggies is
excited to be on board with Spike TV’s Video Game Awards for another two years,” said Hecht. “The Video
Game Awards
continue to be a
stand-out event and one of the most prominent nights in the gaming industry as
it evolves as a non-awards show with user-generated content and party
reveals.”
