WE tv Expands Slate of Supernatural Content

NEW YORK, September 14: WE
tv has launched WE Go Supernatural,
a new slate of paranormal-themed original and acquired programming that will be
anchored by a second season of the top-rated series John Edward Cross
Country
, which features readings
with those who seek answers about their departed friends or relatives.

The second season of 12
one-hour episodes of John Edward Cross Country, produced by JECO Productions, will launch this month on WE tv. The slate also
includes the 37×30-minute Rescue Mediums, which kicks off this month and features two female ghost hunters who
team up to conquer paranormal phenomena. The 4×1-hour Extreme Ghost Stories,
produced by ITV Productions, will
premiere throughout this month. It features the re-enactments of true stories
about ghostly encounters.

There will also be four
one-hour specials premiering in October. These include Haunted, produced by Turner Original Productions and
chronicling the tales of lost souls wandering the Earth; Secret World of
Close Encounters
, which takes
viewers behind the scenes to reveal secrets relating to close encounters with
aliens; Ultimate Ten Unexplained Mysteries, featuring mysteries like ghosts, miracles, faith healers, and alien
abductions; and The Uninvited,
a paranormal special about alien encounters produced by Bluebook Films. Both Secret
World of Close Encounters
and Ultimate
Ten Unexplained Mysteries
were produced
by Film Garden Entertainment.

Rounding out the
supernatural slate is the November premiere of the two-hour special Abducted
by UFO’s
, which sees ordinary
people abducted by aliens who recall their frightening experiences, and the January
2008 premiere of the 6×30-minute series Alien Abductions: True Confessions, highlighting the stories of women who claim to
have had incredible experiences aboard extraterrestrial spacecraft.
