Warner Bros. Consumer Products Taps Mattel Alum

BURBANK: John Louie has been appointed as senior VP of international at Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), joining the company from Mattel.

In his new role, Louie is responsible for the strategic development and overall management of Asia Pacific, Latin America and Canada across all categories of business, including top-line revenue and P&L. He is charged with implementing and executing global and regional strategies across a range of departments. Louie joined the team at the end of February and reports directly to Pam Lifford, the president of WBCP.

Louie comes to WBCP from Mattel, where he held positions both domestically and internationally. During his tenure, Louie served as VP and general manager of Mattel Australia/New Zealand. He most recently held the role of VP of strategic development/M&A. With more than 20 years of experience, Louie has also worked at The Walt Disney Company, Bain and Company, Goldman Sachs and Company, and McKinsey and Company.

“Louie’s strategic business acumen and experience in managing international territories will be instrumental in growing our business globally, which continues to be a priority for the division,” said Lifford.
