VIZ Inks Latin American Deal

SAN FRANCISCO, July 18: Cartoon Network Latin America has
picked up the rights to three series from VIZ Media: Zatch Bell!, Naruto
and Deko Boko Friends.

The pan-regional network has acquired 52 episodes each of
the action-adventure series Zatch Bell! and
Naruto, and 61 30-second episodes
of Deko Boko Friends, an animated
series featuring 12 off-beat characters.

"We are thrilled to be bringing a diverse slate of
properties to Latin America through the strength and power of Cartoon Network,"
said Daniel Marks, the SVP of international at VIZ Media.

Zatch Bell! and Deko
Boko Friends will begin airing on Cartoon
Network this summer; Naruto is
scheduled to broadcast in early 2007.
