VisionTV Schedules Holiday Lineup

TORONTO: The multi-faith and multicultural network VisionTV has slated three weeks of movies and music programs in a prime-time lineup called The Real Meaning of Christmas.

Highlights of the Holiday lineup include the Canadian broadcast premiere of the 2006 theatrical feature The Nativity Story by Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke. The movie will air December 17 and on Christmas day at 9 p.m. and midnight. The Canadian broadcast premiere of The Christmas Hope, a new installment in the popular Christmas Shoes series of TV movies, will air on December 16 at 9 p.m. and midnight.

How I Met Your Mother‘s Neil Patrick Harris stars in the TV movies The Christmas Wish and Miracle of the Heart, slated for December 15 and December 21, respectively. There will also be holiday specials from many of the network’s hit British comedy series. This includes a one-hour Father Ted special, A Chritmassy Ted, on Christmas day at 8 p.m.

A host of Christmas music specials are slated as well, including Christmas Together With the Barra MacNeils, to air December 9. The channel will also provide a special broadcast of the annual Midnight Mass from Rome on Christmas Eve.
