Virgin1 to Roll Out Music Series

LONDON, November 7: Virgin Media Television’s entertainment
channel Virgin1 is set to launch a 13×1-hour high-definition music series, Virgin1
Presents…,
featuring concerts from across
the U.K.

The deal with Music Engine Productions (MEP) will see the
concerts premiere on Virgin1 and then roll out on-demand to Virgin Media
customers. Virgin Media subscribers will have free access to the concerts for
seven days following their premiere, as part of the platform’s catch-up TV
service.

The series kicks off on November 17 at 11 p.m. with Virgin1
Presents The Guillemots at The Astoria,
to
be followed by Virgin1 Presents Robert Plant at The Cornbury Music
Festival.
Other artists to be featured include
The Buzzcocks, The Magic Numbers, The Pretenders, Jose Gonzalez, Nerina Pallot
and Robyn Hitchcock. Virgin1 Presents… is produced by Martin McCabe and Simon Clement-Davies,
with Mick Southworth and Katy Haswell serving as executive producers.
