Virgin1 to Air New Reality Programming

LONDON, August 20: Virgin1 has picked up the new U.S. series
I Want to Work for Diddy, featuring
entertainment mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, to air in its prime-time lineup along with The Prisoner: X.

I Want to Work for Diddy,
from ShineReveille International, recently premiered in the U.S. on VH1 to 1.4
million viewers. The series watches 13 young professionals fight for the chance
to become Combs’ new personal assistant through a series of challenges.

Amy Barham, the head of acquisitions for Virgin Media
Television, said “If you liked The Apprentice and want to see the ultimate in a high-maintenance boss, then you’ll
love I Want to Work For Diddy.
The series is a big glossy reality entertainment brand, full of intense
emotions, with plenty of humor, tears and drama that will fit neatly into prime
time on Virgin1.”

In The Prisoner: X,
participants Jack Osbourne, Toby Young, Debra Stephenson, Linford Christie,
Will Mellor, Joe Pasquale, Donal MacIntyre and Marc Bannerman live like inmates
in some of the harshest prisons around the world, including ones in Belize,
South Africa and the U.S. The eight hour-long episodes have been created for
Virgin1 by Diverse Production with Mark Roberts executive producing.

Daniela Neumann, Virgin1’s director of programming,
commented, “For the first time ever we will genuinely see these celebrities
eat, poo, sleep and shower in the most disgusting prisons in the world. These
are personal and intimate journeys for people who are used to soft cotton
sheets, fine wine, gourmet food and toilet paper—never has the phrase
‘being of your comfort zone’ been more true!’
