Virgin Media Names TV Chief

LONDON: Former Disney executive Cindy Rose has been named executive director of television at Virgin Media, effective November 1.

Rose will lead the British quad-play platform’s strategy for TV, including development of its digital platform and VOD service. Rose was most recently the senior VP and managing director of Disney Interactive Media Group (EMEA). During her tenure at Disney, Rose also served as the senior VP and managing director of The Walt Disney Company for the U.K. and Ireland.

"I am delighted that someone of her considerable calibre is joining in such a key role and I look forward to working with her as we continue to develop our TV services.”
