Video Interview: Tricon’s Andrea Gorfolova

NEW YORK: Andrea Gorfolova, the president of Tricon Films & Television, talks to World Screen about the company’s increasingly diversified catalogue and about working with digital platforms in today’s marketplace.

Though long considered a popular supplier of factual programming, Tricon Films & Television has been building up its scripted catalogue as of late. It now represents a number of IFC original comedies, as well as drama fare from various producers, among other offerings. Tricon is the international distributor and executive producer on the Canadian dramedy Sensitive Skin, starring Sex and the City’s Kim Cattrall, which was recently greenlit for a second season. With the establishment of the Tricon Kids & Family banner, the company is also increasingly focused on expanding its presence in the children’s programming business.
