Video Interview: The Kratt Brothers

NEW YORK: The Kratt brothers, Chris and Martin Kratt, talk about children’s love for wildlife and how their new series Wild Kratts serves kids’ curiosity.

Real-life zoologists turned "creature adventurers" Chris and Martin Kratt are best known, more simply, as the Kratt brothers. The sibling duo, creators of Kratts’ Creatures and Zoboomafoo, have been transformed into animated versions of themselves for their latest series, Wild Kratts. Each of the 40 new half-hour episodes of Wild Kratts seeks to unveil rare wildlife behavior, showcasing age-appropriate science concepts along the way. The show, a co-production of The Kratt Brothers Company and 9 Story Entertainment, made its debut last month on PBS KIDS GO! The series has also been licensed to Canada’s TVOntario, Knowledge Network and Telé-Québec; Discovery Kids in Latin America; TV3 in Spain; SIC in Portugal; Dublin Films of Ireland; Noga Communications in Israel; and Al Jazeera Children’s Channel across the Middle East. The Kratt brothers sat down with World Screen (even bringing along a tiger cub).
