Video Interview: FME’s David Ellender

NEW YORK: David Ellender, the global CEO of FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), talks about attracting top-name talent and the importance of delivering buzz-generating, high-quality programming, in this video interview.

The tenth season of American Idol is currently under way on FOX (with a new judging panel that’s been generating quite a bit of buzz), and the network is soon to become home to another talent competition from FremantleMedia with The X Factor. The British singing competition is on season seven in the U.K. and has sold across the globe into a host of territories. It is set to make its U.S. debut later this year but has already pre-sold around the world by FME.

Much of the buzz around The X Factor comes from Simon Cowell’s involvement. Cowell is but one of many celebrities connected to FME projects, with others including Oliver Stone, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jamie Oliver and Thom Beers.
