Video Interview: Anthony Zuiker, Creator of CSI & Cybergeddon

NEW YORK: Anthony Zuiker, who created the wildly successful CSI franchise, talks to us about Cybergeddon, a nine-part series that he describes as a motion picture for the web.

After creating the CSI franchise, which became a worldwide phenomenon, Zuiker has continued to dedicate himself to his passion: storytelling. This time around, he has been practicing his craft in the digital world. Zuiker started with the “digi-book” Level 26, a novel with an accompanying app that allows readers to enjoy supplemental content online. More recently, Zuiker is behind Cybergeddon, which was released last fall on the Yahoo! Screen video site. The series comes from Dolphin Digital Studios, in partnership with Zuiker’s Dare to Pass production company.

Cybergeddon’s innovations went beyond the structure of the story and the ancillary content offered online; it also included a number of important brand partners. Symantec, the security systems company, not only served as a consultant on the project, it was also featured in the story line. Zuiker tells us about the Cybergeddon experience and other projects he has in the works.
