Video Interview: Andrew Lincoln & Sarah Wayne Callies

NEW YORK: The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln and Sarah Wayne Callies discuss surviving zombies (and Atlanta heat), the creative culture they’ve found at AMC and the importance of expanding the show’s reach to a global audience.

Based on the Robert Kirkman comic book, the buzz-generating AMC drama The Walking Dead premiered to more than 5 million viewers in the U.S. at the weekend. Within hours of the American debut, Fox International Channels (FIC) was rolling the show out to its networks in some 120 territories, following a massive promotional push that saw zombies flooding the streets of Taipei, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Madrid, London and Buenos Aires, among other major cities. (FIC has tapped Entertainment One Television International to represent broadcast and digital/DVD rights internationally.)

The television adaptation is being helmed by Frank Darabont, the acclaimed writer, director and producer best known for feature films such as The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, and producer Gale Ann Hurd, whose credits include The Terminator and Aliens.
