VH1 Adds New Series, Premieres New Comedy Online

BEVERLY HILLS, July 16: VH1 has launched the new scripted
half-hour comedy I Hate My 30’s across a
variety of online, mobile, on-demand and digital-to-own platforms prior to its
on-air prime-time premiere on July 26, and has announced plans for a celebrity
reality series with Salt ‘N Pepa, among other new programming launching in the
coming months.

Today, a sneak premiere of I Hate My 30’s debuted on VH1.com, VH1 Mobile, VH1 on-demand through
various cable providers' VOD offerings and the Internet TV platform Joost. In
addition to the premiere episode, Joost will also offer the entire 8-episode
season in advance, also starting from today. Beginning July 17, the premiere
episode of the series will also be available on several digital-to-own
platforms that include the iTunes Store, Amazon Unbox and AOL Video.

I Hate My 30’s takes
a look at a group of thirty-somethings struggling with the realities and
responsibilities of finally being an adult. In the series each week, Dr. Rod,
the owner of Dr. Rod's Turn Your Head and Coffee, sets up an issue that is
explored through the perspective of the characters. Each episode ends with a
piece of sage advice from animated co-worker C.L. Fox, whose run-ins with
ex-girlfriends, bookies, and the law, provide many cautionary tales for the
group. I Hate My 30's was
developed by an idea VH1 brought to the group Drama 3/4, who have worked together
putting on comedy shows and producing short films since college. The series is
executive produced by Brice Beckham, David Fickas and Josh Uranga for Drama 3/4
and Michael Hirschorn and Maggie Malina for VH1. All episodes were written and
directed by Brice Beckham and David Fickas.

In addition, this October sees the launch of The Salt 'N
Pepa Show
, following the female rappers as
they attempt to reunite on and off the stage. Launching this August, meanwhile,
is The Rock Life, about the rock
band Whitestarr. Premiering August 6, the series follows Whitestarr as they
balance gigs, groupies, girlfriends and band drama. Beginning July 30, one week
before the series' broadcast debut, the first two episodes will be available
for on-demand viewing on VSPOT at VH1.com.

The network has also reached a deal to become the new
television home the Broadcast Film Critics Association's (BFCA) Critics' Choice
Awards for a three-year period. VH1 will air the 13th annual Critics' Choice
Awards gala live from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Monday, January 7,
2008.
