Verizon FiOS to Offer German TV Networks

CENTENNIAL/NEW YORK,
November 21: Comcast-owned
International Networks, an aggregator of multi-ethnic programming in the U.S.,
has struck a deal to launch German channels Deutsche Welle and ProSiebenSat.1 Welt on Verizon's FiOS TV service.

The two
general-entertainment networks have launched on FiOS TV in Maryland, Virginia
and southeastern Pennsylvania, with additional markets to follow. The channels
are sold together in a package for $14.99 per month.

Deutsche Welle (DW-TV)
offers news from Europe as well as in-depth reports on cultural trends, sports,
business and politics. Its programming is available in German and English.
ProSiebenSat.1 Welt is the international German-language offering of the
ProSiebenSat.1 Group, airing programming from Sat.1, ProSieben, kabel eins and
N24. ProSiebenSat.1 Welt also airs feature films, series, comedies, magazine
series and variety shows, as well as live weekly coverage of two Bundesliga
games.
