Venevision Acquires U.S. Rights for Spanish Rom Com

MIAMI: Venevision has acquired the romantic comedy With or Without Love for multiplatform distribution in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

The film comes from Spanish director David Serrano of The Other Side of the Bed and stars Colombian actress Angie Cepeda of Captain Pantoja and the Special Services. In With or Without Love, Cepeda plays a beautiful and successful wine shop owner in Madrid who is balancing both a husband and lover. When the latter leaves her, she desperately tries to win him back, but faces unforeseen obstacles when he begins to take interest in her sister.

Included in Venevision’s agreement are the distribution rights for home video, VOD, pay-per-view, pay TV, free TV and Internet, with an expected September 2011 release date.
