USA Network to Air NCIS: Los Angeles

NEW YORK: USA Network has acquired the exclusive off-network rights to the CBS drama NCIS: Los Angeles

USA will have access to weekly early exhibitions from season one beginning September 2011 and the right to start stripping the series in September 2013. NCIS: Los Angeles is the number one new show this season, averaging 17 million viewers to date. The drama follows the high-stakes world of the Office of Special Projects, a division of NCIS that is tasked with apprehending elusive criminals that pose a threat to national security. The series stars LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell.

"We’re thrilled about this unprecedented opportunity to acquire a great show after just seven episodes of instant broadcast popularity," said Jane Blaney, USA’s executive VP of program acquisitions and scheduling. "NCIS: Los Angeles is the perfect complement to NCIS, which has performed amazingly well for USA as the year’s number one off-net series on cable."
