Univision World Cup Coverage Beats ABC and ESPN2

LOS ANGELES, June 16: For the first 14 matches of the World
Cup, Univision’s Spanish-language coverage has out-delivered ABC and ESPN2 by
11 percent, averaging 2.3 million viewers.

Citing Nielsen figures, Univision also says that it averaged
1.4 million viewers in the 18 to 49 set, compared to ABC/ESPN2’s 1.2 million,
an 18-percent advantage.

Univision’s coverage of the Mexico/Iran match on Sunday was
the number one weekend daytime program among men, women and adults 18-34 among
all networks. It was also the number two sports telecast for the entire weekend
among men and adults 18-34, behind ABC’s prime-time coverage of the second NBA
Finals Game.
