Univision in On-Demand Deal with Time Warner Cable

NEW YORK: Time Warner Cable has launched its first Hispanic free on demand channel, Lo Mejor On Demand (LMOD), featuring a slate of shows from Univision.

Time Warner Digital Cable customers now have 24/7 instant access to top Spanish-language programming from Univision, TeleFutura and Galavision. The on-demand slate includes Cristina, Escandalo TV, Sabado Gigante, Republica Deportiva and Nuestra Belleza Latina. As part of the launch, Univision and Time Warner Cable staged an event in New York, with live broadcasts of Despierta America (Wake-Up America), Escandalo TV (ShowBiz TV) and El Gordo y La Flaca (The Scoop and The Skinny) in Times Square.

LMOD is available to Time Warner Digital Cable customers in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Antonio and San Diego, with additional launches planned in 2010.
