UKTV International Program Sales Top £3.5 Million

LONDON, May 1: BBC
Worldwide’s international distribution of UKTV’s commissioned programming has
generated revenues of more than £3.5 million ($6.9 million) from around the
world.

UKTV Food’s commissions
generated more than £1.9 million ($3.75 million), with UKTV Style contributing
a further £1.6 million ($3.16 million) of sales. Territories that have acquired
UKTV content include France, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Poland Belgium and
Holland, as well as the U.S. China, India, Australia, New Zealand and Hong
Kong.

Original programming sold
from UKTV’s lifestyle portfolio includes Colin & Justin: The Home Show, Gary Rhodes’ Local Food Hero, The Peoples’ Cookbook, Rhodes Across India, James Martin’s Feasts, The Clothes Show, Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses, Matt James Eco Eden, Fantasy Homes by the Sea and Fantasy Homes in the City.

Ben Phillis, UKTV’s head
of business development and distribution, said: “BBC Worldwide has been really
