Ugly Betty Heads to Spain on Cuatro

MADRID, January 17: Ugly
Betty
, named best comedy at the
Golden Globes on Monday, has been licensed to Cuatro in Spain, alongside several
other Buena Vista International Television shows.

The Spanish broadcaster,
which will launch the American version of the Betty la fea novela later this year, also picked up Day
Break
and Six Degrees, two other ABC shows.

Ugly Betty also scored a Golden Globe for best actress for
America Ferrera, who plays Betty Suarez. The series recently launched on
Channel 4 in the U.K., attracting the third-highest audience for a U.S. series
on the channel in the past decade, after the debut seasons of Lost and Desperate Housewives.
