U.K. Leads Rose d’Or Wins

BRUSSELS: The Rose d’Or awards were presented in six categories, honoring the best and most creative entertainment programs, including Sky’s Spy, which won for best sitcom.

The Belgian series What If? won for best comedy, while the U.K.’s Spy was best sitcom. Oh Sit!, which airs on The CW in the U.S., was named best game show.

In arts programming, the BBC’s Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender was the winner this year. Scoring another win for the U.K., Channel 4’s Make Bradford British received the award for reality and factual entertainment. ABC Australia’s Gruen Sweat was the top entertainment program.
