Twentieth Century Fox, HBO Extend Film Output Deal

NEW YORK, July 11: Twentieth Century Fox has agreed to a
long-term extension of its U.S. output deal with Home Box Office (HBO).

Twentieth Century Fox’s renewal of its deal with HBO extends
the relationship between the two companies well into the next decade. Films
from Twentieth Century Fox have been airing on HBO since the early 1980s.

“We consider HBO a world leader in pay television and
original programming, and a great place for our films,” stated Mark Kaner, the
president of Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. “Our relationship
with HBO has been one of partnership and collaboration, and we are thrilled to
be able to continue this for years to come.”

“This year marks the 25th anniversary since HBO entered into
a continuous output deal with Fox, making it our longest running output
relationship with a studio,” said Harold Akselrad, HBO’s co-president.
"Films from Fox have been a part of the HBO offering since the early days
of the network and their consistent success at the box office has made them a
valuable part of our programming line up.”
