World of Wonder Hires SVP of Docs & Current Programming

World of Wonder has added Dave Snyder to its leadership team as senior VP of documentaries and current programming.

Snyder will oversee several new and returning documentary and reality series for an array of platforms in his new role. He will also collaborate with series showrunners and liaise with network departments regarding each program. Additionally, Snyder will develop new projects for World of Wonder in the documentary space.

Snyder will report to Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, co-founders of World of Wonder.

Prior to World of Wonder, Snyder served as executive producer of development for The Joe Berlinger Group at RadicalMedia. He’s also served as VP of development and production at Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions. Over the course of his career, Snyder has created content for HBO, NBC, Comedy Central, Discovery, A&E and HGTV, and worked with production companies such as Moxie Firecracker, Jax Media, Zero Point Zero and Cineflix Productions, where he served as VP of development.

Barbato and Bailey said: “We are thrilled to welcome Dave to our ever-growing WOW family. His extensive background across scripted, unscripted and documentaries is unparalleled, and we look forward to watching him step into this role and help further WOW’s mission to develop projects that push the boundaries of narrative storytelling.”

Snyder said: “I’ve admired Los Angeles-based World of Wonder for years, but as a die-hard New Yorker it seemed we wouldn’t have the opportunity to work together, until now! The pandemic has shown us all how easy it is to effectively communicate across continents, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity to be a part of their wildly entertaining, stealthily subversive, herstory-making documentary and unscripted programming.”
