TVF International Secures Sales for Specialist Factual Titles

TVF International has closed a number of sales for premium science and history titles ahead of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers.

Among the recent science sales is Secrets of Size: Atoms to Supergalaxies, a BBC series fronted by Jim Al-Khalili, which has been picked up by Canal+ Polska (Poland), Knowledge Network (Canada) and UR (Sweden).

Carbon: The Unauthorised Biography, commissioned by ABC, CBC and ARTE, has sold to National Geographic in Latin America, SVT in Sweden, Al Jazeera in the Middle East, Canal+ in Poland, Radio Canada and more.

Another science title that sold is Beach House Productions’ Frontier Sumatra, which went to ARTE, Discovery Networks Asia and EarthX TV. Rain: The Untold Story, meanwhile, was sold to National Geographic Eastern Europe, Movistar Plus+ in Spain, Česká televize in the Czech Republic and Al Jazeera in the Middle East.

National Geographic licensed RTE’s Eco-Eye Sustainable Solutions for its Latin America feed, while ABC in Australia picked up Smart Cities.

From the history slate, Ancient Splendours of Rome was sold to Mediawan’s Tout l’histoire in France. Lost Treasure Tombs of the Ancient Maya went to YLE in Finland, VRT in Belgium and FTV Prima in the Czech Republic. Israel’s HSCC and Greece’s COSMOTE picked up Inferno: Letters from Auschwitz.
