TV Real Festival Sets True-Crime Panel

The TV Real Festival, running from June 18 to 20, will feature a panel with GRB Media Ranch’s Sophie Ferron, Woodcut Media’s Kate Beal and TVF International’s Poppy McAlister discussing the ever-popular true-crime genre. You can sign up for your free registration here.

Ferron is the co-principal and president of GRB Media Ranch. Beal serves as chair of the Association of True Crime Producers and is also the founder and CEO of Woodcut Media. McAlister is head of TVF International. During their panel, they will talk about the keys to standing out in such a crowded genre, balancing the entertainment factor with the sensitive nature of the subjects and the ethical considerations that go into making true-crime programs.

A three-day must-attend virtual event taking place a week prior to Sunny Side of the Doc and NATPE Budapest, the inaugural edition of the TV Real Festival will feature keynotes and panels with leading executives and creatives discussing the world of unscripted, from lifestyle, factual entertainment and docs to non-scripted entertainment and game-show formats.
