TLC Renews Who Do You Think You Are? & Long Lost Family

SILVER SPRING: TLC has commissioned additional seasons of the factual series Who Do You Think You Are? and Long Lost Family.

Who Do You Think You Are?, which received two Emmy nominations, looks on as well-known celebrities set out on quests of self-discovery, tracing their family trees to learn more about their backgrounds. Recent seasons featured Bryan Cranston and Molly Ringwald. The show is executive produced by Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky. It is produced for TLC by Shed Media and Is or Isn’t Entertainment and is based on an original format created by Wall to Wall Media and Alex Graham.

The freshman series Long Lost Family, meanwhile, reunites family members who have been separated by adoption. It is hosted by Chris Jacobs and Lisa Joyner and produced for TLC by Shed Media. Long Lost Family is based on the format Find My Family (Spoorloos), created by KRO-NCRV and distributed by Lineup Industries.

Ancestry is once again joining forces with TLC to sponsor both series. As part of the sponsorship, Ancestry provides family history research that is used in both shows.
