The Only Way Is Essex Returning in 2023

The BAFTA-winning reality series The Only Way Is Essex is returning to screens next year, scoring a two-season order.

The Essex-based reality TV show, produced by Lime Pictures, celebrated its 30th series in 2022 and continued to be ITVBe’s highest-rated program, maintaining its top spot every year since the channel launched in 2014.

Rebecca Kenny-Smith, creative director of current programs at Lime Pictures, said, “We are so excited to bring The Only Way Is Essex back in 2023. TOWIE is truly an iconic British TV show, which has been embedded into viewers’ screens for over 30 series. We look forward to bringing more entertainment from the gossip and glamour capital of the U.K. next year.”

Paul Mortimer, director of reality commissioning and acquisitions and controller at ITV2, ITVBe and CITV, said, “After over 11 years, TOWIE is still going strong and remains the number one show on ITVBe.
