Sky Documentaries Sets Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story

Sky Documentaries has slated the U.K. release of Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story for September 23.

The film follows Otto Baxter, a 35-year-old man with Down syndrome, over six years as he writes and directs an autobiographical comedy horror musical set in Victorian London.

During the making of Baxter’s musical, his birth mother dies and he is forced to confront life in the real world, including his future. His filmmaker friends Bruce Fletcher and Peter Beard help him to bring his vision to life and embrace his unique perspective on the world.

Fletcher and Beard directed Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story. It was produced by Story Films and Archface Films in association with Sky Studios.

The Puppet Asylum, Baxter’s biopic, will debut alongside the documentary. He uses the short film to explore his birth, adoption and his battle with “The Master,” an evil magician controlling his life. It stars Paul Kaye, Rebecca Callard, Myanna Buring, Otto Baxter and Ruben Reuter, along with the voices of Dexter Fletcher and Adeel Akhtar.

Both Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story and The Puppet Asylum will land on Sky Documentaries and NOW TV on September 23 after debuting in select theaters in the U.K. and Ireland on September 1.
