Rive Gauche Television Files for Bankruptcy

Rive Gauche Television and sister company AfterShock Comics have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in California.

Rive Gauche Television, led by Jon Kramer as chairman and CEO, represents a slate of non-scripted content. In October 2020, it merged with AfterShock Comics.

According to the bankruptcy filing, Rive Gauche has assets of between $50 million and $100 million. It has up to 49 creditors and between $10 million and $50 million in liabilities. Its biggest creditor is Jupiter Entertainment, the production company behind shows such as Snapped and Homicide Hunter, to which it owes almost $1.5 million.

Other significant creditors include TBS ($756,000), AMC Networks International ($376,000) and Warner Bros. Discovery ($67,500), as well as M2 Pictures, Farpoint Films, Lower Canada Productions, OTTera and Indigo Films Entertainment, among others.
