Passion Distribution Reveals Autumn 2022 Slate

Passion Distribution has unveiled a packed programming slate for autumn, including a variety of entertainment shows and documentary series.

The factual-entertainment title Send Nudes: Body SOS offers people with personal body hang-ups the opportunity to see what they would look like if they received cosmetic surgery. A diverse panel of 50 people from across the country, medical experts and presenter Vogue Williams will then add their honest feedback of the person’s 3D animated avatar’s “nudes.”

Send Nudes: Body SOS is produced by Crackit Productions for E4. It features ten one-hour episodes.

The four-part docuseries Dinosaur with Stephen Fry is also on Passion’s slate. It chronologically tells the story of the dinosaurs’ 165 million years on Earth, immersing viewers in a new dinosaur world, constructed with cutting-edge technology and insight from world-leading paleontologists and scientists. It is produced by Mentorn Media for Channel 5.

Men of West Hollywood, produced by Get Me Out Productions for Crackle, follows six well-known male socialites and their boyfriends and girlfriends as they come together to make up one of the most polarizing friend groups in West Hollywood.

In Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams, the titular global cricket icon returns to his home town for the sporting challenge of a lifetime as he attempts to inspire some unlikely teens to give cricket a chance. It is produced by South Shore for BBC One.

Football Dreams: The Academy, produced by South Shore for BBC One, follows a group of boys determined to achieve their dreams of becoming professional footballers at the prestigious Crystal Palace Football Club Academy.

From True North Productions for Channel 5, The Cotswolds with Pam Ayres sees the poet use her local knowledge to reveal both the familiar and not-so-familiar gems of Britain’s Cotswolds.

Middlechild Productions’ Northern Justice follows a cast of lawyers in the North of England as they guide ordinary people through extraordinary times in their lives. It is produced for BBC One.

In Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA, the journalist takes her hit show overseas. The series is produced by Firecracker for W (UKTV).

The factual-entertainment show Women’s Health: Breaking the Taboos, produced by Lambent Productions for Channel 5, uncovers the secrets surrounding women’s health and explores some of the biggest issues. Across the series, Cherry Healey joins a variety of women who share their stories.

Co-produced by Spark Media North and Beezr Studios for Channel 4, the new series Tool Club features an ensemble cast of expert DIY-ers who give viewers the tools, equipment and confidence to do it for themselves. The experts travel to a different location across the country each week to teach the public skills that will enable them to do things for themselves.

Passion’s upcoming slate also features a slew of single documentaries, including John and Joe Bishop: Life After Deaf, following comedian John Bishop and his son Joe’s journey into the deaf community. Produced by South Shore and Lola for ITV, it unpacks the issues the family has faced after Joe’s autoimmune condition caused progressive deafness.

The Body in the Bag, meanwhile, takes a deep dive into the story around the death of Gareth Williams, a GCHQ employee on secondment to MI6 who was found dead inside a padlocked duffel bag in the bath of the London apartment. The 90-minute doc is produced by Firecracker for Channel 5.

In Afghanistan: No Country fo Women, British-Iranian correspondent Ramita Navai exposes the reality of life for women under Taliban rule in Afghanistan.

Produced by Unity House, the royal documentary Elizabeth: A Life Through the Lens marks Queen Elizabeth II as the most photographed and filmed person of the last seven decades. Using archive that has rarely been broadcast, the documentary takes a look back at her reign and how she handled life on screen.
