NHNZ Moving Images to Rep Feodor Pitcairn Productions

DUNEDIN: NHNZ Moving Images has inked an exclusive representation deal with Feodor Pitcairn Productions for a variety of programs from the titular ocean photographer, videographer and producer.

Titles include the five-part series Ocean Wilds for PBS, Ocean Odyssey for Smithsonian and the humpback whale doc Ocean Voyagers for Animal Planet. The Feodor Pitcairn collection adds more than 65 hours of underwater and topside ocean footage to the NHNZ Moving Images library.

Kyle Murdoch, NHNZ's managing director, remarked: "The Feodor Pitcairn collection has great aesthetic value, including stunning shots of some of the world's most beautiful and awe-inspiring ocean creatures and environments, but is equally important for its potential research, conservation and educational applications.

"Much of this footage has never been used before in a commercial capacity, so we are thrilled to represent it as we build our specialist archive offerings in the natural history arena."
