New York Post & ID Team for Crime Series

The New York Post is joining forces with Investigation Discovery (ID) on two new true-crime projects, including Torn from the Headlines: New York Post Reports.

Torn from the Headlines: New York Post Reports takes viewers behind the headlines into some of the city’s darkest and most inconceivable crimes of all time. From deadly high-society scandals to predators hunting the streets, this is the inside scoop on the stories that dared to define New York City.

The series is set to premiere on ID on Monday, March 16, at 10 p.m. The first episode, titled “Last Call at the Falls,” covers the 2006 murder of Imette St. Guillen.

New York Post Reports: Off the Record, meanwhile, is IDGO’s brand new digital series hosted by Page Six’s Carlos Greer. The digital venture invites viewers to take a closer look at more recent crimes, scandals and murders that grabbed the attention of the newsroom, revealing exclusive facts and chilling secrets.

The show will bow on IDGO on March 30. Its first episode, “Happily Never After,” follows a 2010 case from Orange County, California that becomes a tale of twists and turns that is far more than meets the eye. Each subsequent eight-minute episode features one current crime and breaks down why it captured the headlines of the New York Post.

“When you think of New York, there’s great pizza, Broadway…and the New York Post,” said Henry Schleiff, group president of Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, American Heroes Channel and Destination America. “Their headlines are infamous, and their crime reporting is what investigative reporting is all about. We are thrilled that we can bring viewers into the newsroom and behind the scenes of the crimes that rocked the Big Apple to its core.”

“Our acclaimed crime journalists provide the most immersive, investigative and captivating reporting in the country,” said Troy Searer, president of New York Post Entertainment. “They not only delve into a story, they become one with it. This exclusive series discloses their sensational, firsthand accounts of the reporting and solving of New York City’s most shocking and egregious crimes.”
