New Paul Hollywood Series to Debut on Food Network in 2016

LONDON: Next year, Scripps Networks UK & EMEA’s Food Network is set to premiere a brand-new series starring The Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood.

Titled Paul Hollywood City Bakes, the series is slated to debut on Food Network in April in more than 100 countries and territories across the U.K. and EMEA. The show follows the British baker to cities across the globe, including Madrid, Miami, Munich, Warsaw, London, Naples, New York, St. Petersburg and Copenhagen, where he delves into recipes that have shaped the baking heritage of each metropolis. Hollywood uncovers family recipes, hotel delicacies and local favorites, and even adds his own “Hollywood twist” to classic recipes. The 10×30-minute series is produced by Reef Television.

“Paul Hollywood’s City Bakes is a major milestone for the U.K. and EMEA team as we look towards bringing some of the most recognizable talent to our network with new and engaging programming across our channel portfolio,” said Phillip Luff, the managing director of Scripps Networks UK & EMEA. “As we move towards 2016, we are actively looking for the industry to bring us a number of new, talent-led treatments that have a real British sensibility and will help build on our vast and successful Scripps library.”

Hollywood commented: "I’m delighted to be working with the talented team at Scripps Networks UK & EMEA to create Paul Hollywood City Bakes. Food culture can reveal so much about a nation so it’s a privilege to be able to delve into the lives of fellow bakers and discover some really amazing international bakes, and to bring this story to audiences all over the region.”

Richard Farmbrough, the CEO of Reef Television, added: "Spending time with Paul Hollywood on his City Bakes mission will be a real treat for audiences around the world as they get to see a different side of this baking megastar from the man we know from Bake Off. Reef is delighted to be working with both Paul and Scripps on this mouth-watering project."
