New Discovery Series to Feature Christina Aguilera, Steven Tyler

NEW YORK: Discovery Channel has aligned with some of today’s hottest recording artists for a six-part series that looks at the wonders of the natural world through the eyes of these celebrated musicians.

The series, Hello World!, is being presented in association with World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The show promises to take viewers deep into the environments of animals as varied as sea turtles, jumping spiders, rhinos and hawks as they live their daily lives. Each episode features an artist’s unique storytelling style and one of their well-known songs, as well as a musical score. Featured artists include Christina Aguilera, Ellie Goulding, Joan Jett, Dave Matthews, Usher Raymond and Steven Tyler.

Hello World! debuts July 9 with back-to-back episodes for three weeks.

“It’s a thrill to have six Grammy-winning or nominated artists working on Hello World!” said Rich Ross, the group president of Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Science Channel. “All of these artists bring a powerful love for wildlife and the environment, and we cannot wait to share these films with families across the world.”
