Netflix’s Murdaugh Murders to Return

Netflix has ordered a second season of Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, set to premiere later this month.

In March of this year, Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of the murder of his wife, Maggie, and 22-year-old son, Paul. Three new episodes of the series are set to premiere globally on September 20, giving more insight into what occurred on that deadly night.

Former Murdaugh family housekeeper Blanca Turrubiate-Simpson, along with Alex Murdaugh’s mother’s caregiver Mushelle “Shelly” Smith, contribute. Both were witnesses at the trial.

More accounts come from Curtis Edward Smith (aka Cousin Eddie) and Gwen Generette, one of the trial’s jurors. Paul Murdaugh’s ex-girlfriend Morgan Doughty, his friend Anthony Cook and The Wall Street Journal reporter Valerie Bauerlein also return.
