NBCU Ups Erica Forstadt to SVP Unscripted Role

NBCUniversal Television and Streaming has promoted Erica Forstadt to senior VP of entertainment unscripted current production.

In this position, Forstadt will be responsible for creative production oversight on select documentary and lifestyle unscripted programming across the NBCU Television and Streaming entertainment portfolio, which includes NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, Universal Kids, USA Network and Peacock.

Forstadt will report to Shari Levine, executive VP of entertainment unscripted current production, and oversee an upcoming slate of docuseries and limited-run unscripted series.

Forstadt joined NBCUniversal in 2017 as VP of entertainment unscripted current production. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Forstadt served as VP of programming and development at OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Before working at OWN, Forstadt was a showrunner on a variety of documentary series and specials, including The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and Be Good Johnny Weir. She directed Brett Morgen’s Peabody Award-winning series Nimrod Nation and was a producer on the debut season of Iconoclasts, alongside Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky.
