More Friday Night Tykes for Esquire Network

LOS ANGELES: Esquire Network has given the green light for additional seasons of the American football-themed docuseries Friday Night Tykes and its spin-off, Steel Country.

The ten-episode fourth season of Friday Night Tykes will return to Texas and continue to follow the 10-, 11- and 12-year-old divisions of some of the most competitive football leagues in the U.S. It will cover multiple teams, putting a spotlight on different coaching, parenting and mentoring styles.

The second season of spin-off series Friday Night Tykes: Steel Country covers youth football in Western Pennsylvania. The eight episodes will focus on small towns that were once the backbone of industrial America and home to well-known NFL players such as Joe Namath, Johnny Unitas, Joe Montana, Mike Ditka, Tony Dorsett and Darrelle Revis.

“Esquire Network is thrilled to continue documenting the story of youth football in Texas and Western Pennsylvania,” said Matt Hanna, the executive VP of development and production at Esquire Network. “The pursuit of success for these families, coaches and kids make for compelling and occasionally controversial television. We’re excited to see where the journey takes us next.”

The series are produced by 441 Productions, Texas Crew Productions and Electro-Fish Films for Esquire Network. For 441 Productions, Matt Maranz and Andrew Morreale serve as executive producers. Terry Stewart and David Karabinas are executive producers for Texas Crew Productions.
