Further Middle East-focused documentaries include “three new, very timely titles about Daesh deserters, Syria and Western families who have lost children to Jihadism,” says Heidi Fleisher, the company’s head of international sales and catalogue acquisitions.

The Adventurers of Modern Art, meanwhile, combines animation, illustrations and original archives to immerse the viewer in Parisian life at the dawn of the 20th century. “We have a rich and diverse lineup of fresh programs this year,” Fleisher comments.
