Magilla Entertainment Sets New Food & Travel Series

Magilla Entertainment (Moonshiners, Beachfront Bargain Hunt, Rooms We Love) is developing a new food and travel series starring former Goop editor and farm-to-table entrepreneur Ana Hito.

Each episode will follow Hito to a different part of the world, where she will join the locals as they cook what’s in season. Whether venturing to Nova Scotia in June for salmon season or visiting Wadmalaw Island in South Carolina as the locals prepare wild hogs, Hito will always end her journeys by returning to her New York farm to create a meal inspired by her travels.

Hito grew up living off of the land and learning to make the most of what’s in season as a native of the Rapa Nui (Easter Island). She is the founder of It’s a Dinner, a traveling field-to-table dinner series highlighting seasonal produce, small farms and local businesses. Prior to launching that, she spent four years as the food editor at Goop.

“Ana is unlike any talent we’ve seen in this space,” said Magilla Co-Founder Matthew Ostrom. “It’s not often we work with on-camera personalities who tame wild horses and weld BBQ smokers during their free time. Her lifestyle and career are centered around chasing the seasons and embracing small communities, cultures and businesses—and it’s her commitment and holistic approach to seasonality that set this series apart.”
