ID Gives Go-Ahead to True-Crime Show I Am Homicide

SILVER SPRING: Investigation Discovery (ID) has greenlit the new original true-crime series I Am Homicide, which has begun production for broadcast on the channel later this year.

I Am Homicide will look on as Charlotte-based Detective Garry McFadden showcases the unorthodox methods he has used to solve some of the most difficult murder cases of his career with a more than 90 percent success rate. The show, which contains hour-long episodes, will make its world premiere in June 2016 exclusively on ID. It is produced for the network by Blackfin.

“Garry McFadden is truly an original—with his larger-than-life personality, Garry doesn’t just solve crimes, he cares passionately about helping his community,” said Jane Latman, the senior VP of development at ID. “This series will help viewers understand both the intricacies of detective work and the incredible legacy Garry is creating in Charlotte.”
